Description

This lovely apartment is in the heart of one of the fanciest neighborhoods in Rome and it is only 200 meters away from Rome's most important and known monument: the Coliseum!

You can actually see it (as well as the Domus Aurea) from the balcony of the flat.

As you can see from the pictures, the apartment is tastefully decorated with modern furniture and it has a big beautiful bedroom with a queen size bed and a lovely living room with a queen size sofa bed and a big dining table for four people.

This one bedroom apartment is very big and spacious since it is approximately 60 square meters big and was completely renovated in December 2013.

Located on the first floor (with no elevator) of a high-class building, it has a bathroom with a very big and beautiful shower, a fully equipped kitchen, flat TV and Wifi Internet connection 24/7 included in the price.

The area is incredibly gorgeous and is very well known in the city for its very nice and unique shops, bistros and restaurants.

The B line of the subway (Colosseo/Fori Imperiali) is really close on foot (2 minutes maximum) and will get you to Termini (Central Train Station) in only 2 stops.

This flat is the perfect choice for a couple wanting to visit Rome on a budget (and a baby cot is available upon request) or for a family of four.

The final cleaning fee (40€) and the Roman Tourism Tax (3.50€ per night per person) have to be paid in cash upon arrival.

Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 10am.

We really welcome your inquiries and questions and we provide a guide to the apartment and neighborhood with tips and advice on many local restaurants and shops!

Excellent host with great communication and help!

written by Christopher Abboud on Airbnb on Friday, 21 October 2016

Andrea's apartment is beautiful and Very well located. Andrea was a great host providing fast and quality communications before and during our stay. He was super flexible and helpful for everything we needed. The one major caveat for this apartment is the constant noise. The appartment is on the 2nd floor of a crowded street and the windows are thin.

written by Henriette Bencke on Airbnb on Saturday, 15 October 2016

Andrea was a great host and the apartment was lovely, just like we thought it would be. We never met Andrea in person, but the communication before and during our visit was very good. Andrea also arranged a transport to the airport for us, which was a great help, as we had to leave the apartment at 4 in the morning. We would definitely recommend this place!

written by Amy B on Vrbo on Saturday, 15 October 2016

The apartment is clean and adorable, and SO close to the Coliseum and the Colesseo subway stop, making it convenient to the entire city. Although the "view of the Coliseum" is a little overstated, haha, the view over the park is sweet, and the cafe downstairs is convenient, and closes at a reasonable hour! Andrea always gives a quick response for any questions, and we had a phone number to contact in case we had any problems getting to the apt (which we didn't). If I ever head back to Rome, I would definitely want to stay here again.

We are a young married couple and wanted a good vacation in Roma. We haven't been to Roma before but wanted to see it in a different way. Therefore we decided to choose a flat on AirBnB instead of a 5star hotel. The perfect choice!!! We visited Roma for the first time and stayed for 8 days. Roma has so much to see and 8 days are perfect. You could definitely see it in less days but if you really want to relax we would suggest staying as long as you can. Andrea organised a Limousine pick up for a good price (Mercedes Limousine) and the driver waited for us with our name on a poster. The driver brought us to the apartment and checked for the host so all in all very organised and well planed! We even could pick up the 72h Roma pass at the airport while the driver waited for us. The flat is amazing and the location is perfect for visiting Roma. A great thank you to Andrea and his team. Chiara did welcome us very nice with a sweet breakfast. Thanks for hosting us and we are definitely looking forward to come back to Roma some day. Chiara introduced us very well to the flat and the sights and gave us some very good tips for dinner. We loved the tip for very good Cabonara (La Cabonara - Monti). Monti is a very good place for young people and has a lot of very good restaurants and bars. We are definitely going back to Roma some day and will look for the same Accommondation. The perfect place to be! Cheers, Valentina and Arun

A lovely apartment in a great location, just a stroll from the Colosseum and with excellent transport links for the rest of the city. We were met ahead of the advertised check-in time by Andrea's fried Nathalie, who was very friendly and helpful (and even interrupted her journey home to return to the apartment to help us with something). The flat was clean, well appointed and with lots of character. We brought the kids with us and they loved the space you don't get in a hotel and looking out of the balcony knowing the Colosseum was so close (the trees on the street block an uninterrupted view). Only gripe was the noise made by the bin collectors in the morning - lovely high windows but not able to block out the racket. Overall an excellent experience in a fantastic city and would return.

Grazie mille, Andrea

This was my first Airbnb experience. I may be a rookie but I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. The location was great. The colosseum is at the bottom of the street with lots of transport options from there too. The apartment itself was delightful. High ceilings, high shuttered windows, lots of space and light. To top it all Andrea and Luca were extremely helpful and gracious.

written by Matthias Reiche on Airbnb on Wednesday, 20 July 2016

Andrea and Lucca were great hosts. They showed utmost flexibility with check-in and check-out time and provided clear and sufficient instructions about the appartment. Communication worked always perfectly. All questions were responded without any delay. We found the appartment in a very good shape and enjoyed our stay there. Hence we can recommed this place to everyone, who looks for a convenient spacious accomodation with Roman ambiance, located close to nice restaurants, the most important places of interest and direct access to public transport.

written by D Keane on Airbnb on Saturday, 16 July 2016

This is a real find. The flat is terrific - simply but very nicely furnished, and we could not have been more comfortable. And the Colosseum is just 500m away! The location is superb and there are lots of nice little bars and restaurants very near - there's even one just outside the front door. Andrea was fantastically helpful before we arrived - he even booked our taxi from Ciampino airport - now that IS service! Communication was easy and swift. We were let in by Giulia, a colleague, who took great pains to show us everything and make sure we were comfortable and confident in using everything. Really, I couldn't praise it more.

written by Linh Truong on Airbnb on Monday, 11 July 2016

We have a wonderful experience! We were greeted by Julia. She is very helpful, informative, and wonderful. The photos accurately portray the apartment: spotless and space full. The air conditioner and wifi works great. You do hear a bit of noises from the streets but it's very faint. I am a light sleeper but I was able to sleep well in this beautiful apartment. Andrea left us a bottle of wine for not being able to greet us personally. I thought it is a nice touch. Josh thought the ice trays is a wonderful touch (my boyfriend loves his drinks really cold lol). We highly recommend this place.

written by Chris Giacomino on Airbnb on Wednesday, 06 July 2016

I can't say enough good things about either this apartment or this owner. The location is excellent, right next to the Coliseum. We took the Metro, which is a two minute walk, to the Spanish Steps, then walked to the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and the Palace of King Vittorio Emmanuele II, all in a single short afternoon. Just a great location! Andrea and his partners were so helpful with everything...the apartment was great (with AC and a washing machine), everything was on time! Andrea even arranged an early morning driver to the airport for us, which was a much better deal than any other way we could have done it. Just a great experience!

written by John H on Vrbo on Sunday, 19 June 2016

We very much enjoyed our stay. Apartment is two blocks from the Metro station at the Coliseum and has easy access to a number of bus lines. Apartment is on first floor accessed by stairs (no elevator). The place is very clean and has a good layout. Bedroom has windows on two walls making possible a nice cross breeze in hotter weather possible. Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. Apartment is directly above two restaurants (which have great food!) but can be quite noisy in the evening (bring ear plugs if noise bothers you and you want to go to bed before 23:00!) If you want to be located near the Coliseum, I would recommend you consider this apartment.

I am writing this review on my mothers behalf. After 62 years of life she decided to leave the United States for the first time. She was traveling solo and made her own arrangements. I'm grateful for Andrea and his apartment. He showed her in and gave a detailed tour of the area and recommended a few places to eat. She returned today and told me this was her favorite apartment on her 30 day 6 country tour. The apartment was spotless and full of space. The location was ideal and close to the metro. Thank you!!!

written by Craig Stewart on Airbnb on Saturday, 28 May 2016

This was a great apartment. It IS about 100 meters from the Coliseum! Central to everything, clear instruction manual. The apartment is airy and lots of light if you want, or close the shutters and lots of privacy to sleep. Great restaurant right downstairs. Lots within walking distance, including the Coliseum Metro station, and bus stops.

I spent a month traveling around Italy, and this was by far the best place and experience I had. Starting with the booking, the responses were fast, friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival, the person who met me was again friendly and informative and knowledgeable. The space itself was clean and modern, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom tile work was beautiful. Stepping outside and walking about two blocks, I was at the Colosseum. I was amazed and delighted it was so close (it is not visible from the apartment), and seeing it every night when I walked home was magical. Even though the bustling Colosseum is so close, the street is quiet and peaceful. It's a perfect location from which to walk around the city. I will definitely book this again next time I'm in Rome.

written by Gerard Cahill on Airbnb on Thursday, 05 May 2016

We had a great stay in Rome, the apartment was fantastic. There is a little bit of street noise at night, but you are only a 1 minute walk from the Colosseum!

written by Michelle Anselman on Vrbo on Sunday, 24 April 2016

We spent four nights in this beautiful apartment, and could not have been more pleased. It was even better than photos, and location was perfect. We walked almost everywhere, but public transportation was only a few blocks away. Andrea was very helpful in arranging transportation, and always responded promptly, both before and after our arrival. Do not hesitate to rent this apartment. Will definitely stay there again if we return to Rome. Michelle Anselman Colorado

Andrea was a professional and amazing host. Luca was a great help too! The apartment and location couldn't have been better. Also very detailed instructions available for how to use items in the flat in English. The map and walking tours were also a nice touch. Great location with metro, grocery, restaurants, and tourist sites nearby. Andrea also was very helpful in getting us transport directly to the airport and saved us a lot of time and stress. Will definitely try to stay with you again next time we are in Rome!

written by Joseph Clarke on Airbnb on Thursday, 03 March 2016

Andrea's friends Luca and Giulia met us and showed us the apartment. They also pointed out the best restaurants close by which we took full advantage of. This is truly a wonderful apartment on the second floor of an elegant old Roman building. It has a balcony with a view to the Colosseum. We loved our stay here as we could walk to most of the things we were interested in and for trips further away the subway is only two blocks away. For those interested in exploring ancient Rome this is an ideal location. This is a center city location but across the street from a park so there is little noise apart from ambient city sounds such as garbage collection and some city traffic. We hope to be back soon again. There is a lot to see in Rome.

written by Doron Matatyahu on Airbnb on Friday, 12 February 2016

We loved the apartment. The location is amazing- just 100 meters from the Coluseum and 5 minutes from the Monti neighborhood. The apartment was very clean and it has big windows with a lot of light getting in. When we have a tiny problem , Andrea arrived immediately and solved it, leave us satisfied.. Thanks for everything. Next time in Rome - we will return to this apartment !

written by Amy Tyndall on Airbnb on Friday, 05 February 2016

Andrea was a great Airbnb host, and his flat is perfect for staying in Rome, particularly if you're travelling with a baby/infant as we did. Andrea organised a travel cot for us, and the airport transfer taxi he organised had a baby seat included for free - which meant we didn't have to lug all that extra kit on the plane with us, so very useful! As other people have already said, the flat is in a great location, just minutes from the Colosseum and the sights of Ancient Rome. And Andrea is a wonderful, very professional host. We had a great time staying in the apartment.

Pros: well-managed; quick and friendly operator; spacious; short walk to the Colosseo metro station Cons: The restaurant directly outside the bedroom window can get noisy; the hot water in the shower comes in waves/fluctuates

We had a great experience staying in this apartment in Rome. Andrea was really helpful prior to our arrival with answering all of my questions and arranging transportation to and from the train station. The apartment is beautiful, spacious and in a great location close to everything. The Colosseum is literally a 1 minute walk from the front door. There are restaurants and cafes right below the apartment which was extremely convenient. I do have to mention because of the great location to all of the tourist attractions, there are a ton of tourists and peddlers around. Overall a great experience and visit.

written by Micha? B?dkowski-Kozio? on Airbnb on Wednesday, 16 September 2015

The apartment is simply great: spacious, well furnished and reflecting Rome's interior design style. It is placed really few steps from Rome's greatest highlights: Colosseum, Forum Romanum and Domus Aurea. The Monti district it lies in is very interesting with a bunch of fashionable venues. Andrea and Ewa are perfect hosts... very responsive and always at hand with useful information... could also organize a very convenient transport from and to Fiumicino Airport at a very good price. Definitely worthy to recommend!!!

An extremely lovely place to stay with a great location and all the amenities you could ask for. Will deconstruction stay there again if I return to Rome. Minutes from the metro line and literally next to the Colosseum. Could not ask for more. Andrea was a pleasure to deal with and responds instantly. Loved that place.

written by Kelly Adams on Airbnb on Saturday, 22 August 2015

This apartment was perfect for my children and I. The light was beautiful and the area very peaceful, which was surprising given its' proximity to the coliseum. The first morning I had to take an audio recording because it was remarkable that the only sounds I could hear were birds and the water from a nearby street fountain. The apartment was very clean and had everything that we needed. As noted in other reviews, the washing machine is very handy. We packed lighter then we would have knowing that we could leave Rome for the remainder of our travels with fresh clothing. Our friends rented a apartment around the corner from this unit and Andrea arranged the transportation for the whole group from the airport. The price was fair and made transitioning with children from an overnight flight very smooth. Carlos met us at the apartment when we arrived and gave us (and our friends) a brief layout of the area. It was all very easy and pleasant. I highly recommend this apartment.

Andrea's apartment was the perfect base for us to explore Rome. Communication was great throughout, and Rosangela welcomed us upon arrival and provided many good recommendations. The apartment was a stones throw away from the coliseum, and a short walk away from the city's main tourist attractions. It is also in the Monti area, which has a much more local feel with the amazing restaurants. Highly recommended.

written by Milda Pumputyte on Airbnb on Monday, 03 August 2015

Andrea's apartment was exactly as advertised, and much more than that. It was spacious, beautiful, and well equipped for our every need over our week's stay in Rome. The location is great – with the Colosseum at the end of the street, Nero's palace underneath the park outside the windows, and walking distance to most central sights, there's little more to ask for. The hosts were more than accommodating, going beyond it to help us out in our other needs, and always swift to respond. This is certainly a great place to call home during a stay in the great city of Rome.

written by Kaysee C on Airbnb on Sunday, 26 July 2015

We very much enjoyed our stay at Andrea's apartment! The location was perfect - just steps from the Colosseum and the metro, which made seeing the city's highlights very easy. The apartment itself was very nice and well kept. It was clean, the bedroom was comfortable and bathroom was spacious, and the kitchen was fully equipped for making meals. Andrea was immediately responsive with booking, and provided transportation information, neighborhood stores/restaurants and general tips on paper inside the apartment to meet our needs - it seemed he thought of everything. Carlos (who checked us in) provided us with all necessary details for our stay, and included some personal suggestions. We loved our time here, and definitely would recommend it!

written by Esther Levin on Airbnb on Friday, 10 July 2015

Great location! The appartment is small, but spacious enough. Has all the essentials plus a washer that turned out to be quite an asset in july heat, when we had to shower and change our sweaty clothes 3 times a day. Carlos was very helpful in explaining how to use everything in the appartment and also how to get around in rome.

We stayed 5 nights at Andrea's apartment. The location is fantastic. The Colosseum is awesome! Communication with Andrea was always very prompt. Chiara met us at the apartment to help us get settled, and even gave us some restaurant recommendations which we loved. Andrea was kind enough to organize an Airport transfer, and even let us stay until a little after midday when our transfer arrived. I would highly recommend staying here. Thanks Andrea!

written by Nicolien Pieterse on Airbnb on Saturday, 23 May 2015

The apartment was exactly as described, beautiful! The balcony was even a bit bigger than expected. Upon arrival someone was waiting for us, all went very smoothly. There is information in the apartment about the neighbourhood, all well taken care for. The appartment is really next to the Colosseum and opposite a bus carpark. So there is enough traffic; you are never alone.

We had a wonderful stay in Rome at this apartment. As the other reviews noted, it is right by the colosseum and very close to the metro and bus stops making it very easy to get around the city. Thank you Andrea and we would definitely stay again!

Fabulous location, really central. You just turn right out the door and the colluseum is there. We were welcomed on arrival and given lots of hints and tips for local transport, restaurants, and things to do. It's the personal touch that took this from a nice flat and location to a great holiday.

Fantastic apartment in a great location. Andrea's colleague, RoseAngela gave us a warm and informative welcome at check-in, not leaving until she was sure that our devices were connected to the WiFi and that we had everything that we needed. Communication with Andrea leading up to our stay was excellent. His response to every message was near immediate. He arranged airport transport for us, and let us check out an hour late without hesitation. The apartment was clean, bright and very spacious and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. There was room to spread out. Photos in the listing are accurate. Great location. A nice neighborhood and close to major sites and subway/metro. We did notice an occasional sewer smell in the bathroom, but suspect that this is old building plumbing and not something that is within Andrea's control. The shower was great with plenty of hot water. We had a great experience in this apartment and would not hesitate to stay again when in Rome. Thanks to Andrea for being a wonderful host.

written by Dan Firth on Airbnb on Thursday, 19 February 2015

What an amazing location! 500 metres from the Coliseum and in Monti - Rome's laid back cool district. We couldn't have asked for a better location. It was a perfect area - so close to tourist attractions but it felt like we could retreat to a real Italian part of Rome and indulge in coffees, ice cream and good pizza. Andrea was a really great host - very quick to respond to any communication, very accommodating and flexible about our checkout. He provided us with a list of local places to eat, booked our taxis and provided us with a list of sites off the beaten track - so thanks Andrea. The Apartment was really light, clean and bright, spacious and I would really recommend it. My wife and I's only suggestion for improvement would be to put a couple of rugs down and another sofa in the living room that would make it feel more homely. many thanks Andrea!

We were met by Andrea's friend who made sure everything was ' just right' and that we were made to feel very welcome. The apartment was amazing in every way. In fact the pictures do not do it justice. It was modern, smart and very stylish, extremely comfortable and had everything that you might need. (All this in a glorious old building) The location could not have been better with glimpses of the colloseum between the trees. We just loved it and would recommend it highly.

We had a very nice stay in this apartment. It is pleasant and bright and has a great location. We went on foot almost everywhere, but the metro and buses are quite near if you need them. Andrea and his colleague Chiara (who welcomed us) are really nice people and answered positively and fast to all our requests.

written by Jordan B on Vrbo on Tuesday, 14 October 2014

We really enjoyed this apartment. It is right next to the coliseum but on a quiet tree lined street so you are still away from all the tourists. The metro is a short walk away so you can get to any part of Rome within a few minutes. The apartment is spacious and the washer was great to have since we needed to do laundry. The bed was comfortable so we slept very well. The apartment could use a little bit of maintenance but nothing that effected our stay. We had a great time in the Eternal City and this apartment was a big reason for that.

written by Santiago Nemirovsky on Airbnb on Saturday, 11 October 2014

The apartment is very bright and has ample living spaces. It is located in a very quite area but at the same conveniently close to the downtown area and with incredibly easy access to Rome's core attractions (only 100 metres/300 feet away from the Colosseo and the Roman Forum). The subway stop is also within a few steps. The apartment has every gadget and comfort that you would expect which contribute to make the stay significantly more enjoyable. Owner Andrea made everything he could and more to make our stay more comfortable and stress-free. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

written by Sean Kayes on Airbnb on Friday, 19 September 2014

Although we did not meet Andrea during our stay, his assistant, Chiara, was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is indeed bright and cheerful, and in a great location by a vibrant neighborhood near the Coliseum with easy walks to many attractions, the Metro, and many fun and funky restaurants and bars. We were there on a Saturday night and thought the streets, with a diverse crowd, looked liked Mardi Gras in New Orleans. It was fun and exciting. Despite all the activity near by, the apartment was quiet and peaceful. A small complaint would be that, in the hot Roman summer, the apartment could use either ceiling fans or stand alone fans. After walking all day in the late summer heat, the only room with AC and cool enough to sit in was the bedroom--a shame because the apartment is really quite charming and in an excellent location. We would stay here again but not in summer.

Cannot recommend this apartment enough! In the run up to our stay Andrea was incredibly helpful with travel tips (i.e. how to get from the airport to the apartment) as well as making booking and payment of the trip hassle free. The apartment was absolutely stunning! All perfectly clean - everything worked, thankfully this included the air conditioning unit as it was unbelievably hot in Rome! Andrea had left a very helpful booklet about how things in the apartment worked, as well as recommendations for restaurants and the nearest places to shop for food, etc. My boyfriend and I were only in Rome for two days, and then moving on elsewhere in Italy - there was some confusion on the day we were leaving about what time we were picking up our rental car, which meant that we needed to leave the apartment at a different time than had been arranged. I contacted Andrea slightly hesitantly to ask if we could possibly leave the apartment an hour later than arranged. He replied instantly and was more than accommodating! If we were to come back to Rome, we would definitely try and stay in one of Andrea's properties.

Great location! The apartment is right next to the coliseum and an underground access to the Metro. Andrea is really fast to answer when you have problems during your stay. We had problems with the shower drain that seemed to be clogged and also with the AC*** that stopped working at some point but Andrea was very quick to fix our worries. ***If the AC stops working with the "W.F." light on, you need to empty its little water compartment at the back. It started working again once we did that.

Andrea's beautiful apartment is a GEM! It's in a prime location and within walking distance (at most 25 minute) to most main attractions and Piazza in Rome. The apartment was a fantastic spot to recharge from the weather. It's easily better than any hotel room(3-4 star) I have stayed in across 4 continents. The glass windows and the wooden furniture are lovely and have historic authenticity that one can glean from their quality and workmanship. The apartment came with a washing machine which was a bit of a life saver as it was extremely useful! The kitchen was gorgeous and we particularly enjoyed our morning, sitting in the balcony with espresso from the Moka pot (stove top espresso machine). The bedroom was comfortable and effectively shut out the noise of the bustling street below ensuring good, sound sleep. Andrea and his associate were available to us at all times and were prompt and efficient with the check-in process. It was definitely "like at home, in Rome" in Andrea's own words!

I really liked this beautiful apartment and the neighborhood. The description in the ad is accurate, and I even thought the apartment was even more beautiful than shown in the pictures if you can believe it. Andrea is a very attentive and honest host, and when he was unable to meet me at the apartment, he sent his partner, Chiara, who was very friendly and professional. If I ever return to Rome, I would stay at this apartment again. Thank you, Andrea!

What a fantastic apartment! Within easy walking distance to the metro, and so close to the coleseum, you can even see it from your balcony! Very light and airy apartment upstairs from a ristorante and cafe/shop which was very convenient. Host was very helpful with excellent communications. Highly recommend this as a great base for your Rome adventure!

Probably the best air bnb apartment we stayed at in Europe. Big and bright in a fantastic location right next to the colosseum and the metro train station. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Great flat finished to a high standard, and it is extremely close to major tourist sites. Andrea was extremely helpful and communicative throughout our stay. Keeping in mind that it is close to the Colisseum and major streets, there is general street noise (cars, scooters, people chatting at cafes, etc). Our baby didn't have any problem sleeping through it, however.

This rental unit was excellent. It was clean and beautifully decorated. You can see the Coliseum from the apartments' lovely stone balcony! All the sites we wanted to see were within walking distance. Andrea was very pleasant and nice to deal with. We would recommend this rental and would definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful bright and spacious apartment in Rome. The Colosseo metro line is just a few minutes walk away and restaurants, cafe's and supermarkets are all within a short walking distance. The apartments balcony looks on to the Colosseum. Andre was a wonderful host, accommodating and very easy to communicate with. The can be some outside noise from traffic etc during the early morning but we did not find this to be a difficulty with ear plugs. I highly recommend this apartment and look forward to my next visit to Rome.

The apartment was lovely and in a great location just one block from the Colosseum and 2 blocks from the heart of the fantastic Monti neighborhood, but on a residential street across from a park and a small ruin. The apartment is bright, newly remodeled and the balcony was a very nice addition. Andrea was an exceedingly helpful, available and friendly host who always answered emails quickly and came over if I had any questions.

We (two couples) stayed at this place over new years and were pleasantly surprised by the location. you can see the colosseum from the street, it's only about 100m away. The apartment was also very nice and clean. We did notice that we were the first people to stay there though (eg. there was no rubbish bin anywhere in the flat when we arrived, however, Andrea took care of it within an hour of arrival). Andrea was very quick to accommodate us and took care of things quickly (such as organising a oil, salt and pepper got us). He was very easy to reach and to communicate with. We will stay here again when we return to Rome and can really recommend this place.
