Description

This lovely apartment is in the heart of one of the fanciest neighborhoods in Rome and is only 200 meters away from Rome's most important and known monument: the Coliseum! You can actually see it (as well as many other monuments) from the balcony of the flat. As you can see from the pictures, the apartment is tastefully decorated with modern furniture and it has a big beautiful bedroom with a queen size bed and a lovely living room with a queen size sofa bed and a dining table.

This one bedroom apartment is very big and spacious since it is approximately 60 square meters big and was completely renovated in October 2014. The flat is provided with air conditioning in the living room but can cool off the whole flat.

Located on the seventh floor (with elevator) of a high-class building it has a bathroom with a very big and beautiful shower, a fully equipped kitchen, flat TV and Wifi Internet connection 24/7 included in the price.

The area is incredibly gorgeous and is very well known in the city for its very nice and unique shops, bistros and restaurants.

Two subway stops for both lines of the subway are very close: Manzoni for the A Line (red) and Colosseo for the B line (blue) is really close on foot (5 minutes maximum) and will get you to Termini (Central Train Station) in only 2 or 3 stops.

This flat is the perfect choice for a couple want to visit Rome on a budget, but also a family (a baby cot is available upon request) or a group of friends.

We really welcome your inquiries and questions!

Smoking is NOT allowed in the apartment.

Appartement très propre. Personnel très agréable. Bonne localisation

written by Annalices Villapa on Airbnb on Wednesday, 19 October 2016

Lovely view of Italy from the balcony and the place is close to the colosseum. Andrea ensured that someone was available for us during check in to show the apartment. The place was spacious and clean. It is in a charming old building (with a lift which was helpful with our luggage) located in a beautiful area. We had a great time and had no issues during our stay; the welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch too. We would definitely recommend Andrea's place - 5 stars!

This apartment was such a wonderful place to call home for our honeymoon in Rome! We arrived and were greeted by Chiara, who showed us around and made sure we were comfortable with the apartment and our surroundings. She recommended some good pizza and pasta restaurants, as well as an amazing Brazilian/Japanese sushi spot that were all delicious! She also gave us some tips on getting around and ideas on some sights and how long to expect each to take. I feel she truly went above and beyond! The apartment itself is well furnished, clean, and honestly has one of the best views we could have asked for. Sunsets on the balcony are to die for, and you can see a couple of landmarks nearby as well. We had no problems with anything and were comfortable the entire stay. The bed is a little on the springy side, but we were able to sleep just fine. The kitchen is equipped enough to cook meals in, and there are lots of restaurants nearby too. Andrea has been so easy to communicate with, and was very flexible with us.. We originally arranged late check out and then at the last minute decided to stay en extra day.. He was so quick at responding and very accommodating with our requests, which we are grateful for. We are looking forward to a return to Rome, and will definitely be calling on Andrea when the time comes!

Great location, really close to the Colleseo which is where most or the tours of Rome start so not having to get up too early was a delight. Simple apartment with all the basics to get us through and the check in was the best information and most informative we've had of any Airbnb.

Nice apartment in a good location of Rome. Unfortunately we didn't meet Andrea, however his friend Carlos was on hand and was extremely helpful in giving us all the information and help we needed. Great view from the balcony, perfect for watching the sun set. I would recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a solid base to discover this fascinating city.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Andrea's apartment. Check-in was great, but could have been a little easier. We weren't met by Andrea but rather told to meet with one of his colleagues and we were givin her phone number. But when we arrived in Rome we were then told we were meeting with someone else and were not given her contact information. After a long train ride with heavy bags this was just a little more stressful than we had hoped. The apartment was very clean and in a great location. It had all of the amenities as advertised however it should be noted that there is no air-conditioning in the bedroom, just an electric fan. Future Airbnb-ers should also be aware that there is a 3.50€ / person per night charge that they collect in cash upon your arrival. The apartment was great for us, however if you're looking for more "homey" feel with a host that is present, then this is not the right place as we never met or even spoke to Andrea.

Such a great location and a beautiful view of the Colosseum! One of Andrea's colleagues greeted us and pointed out places on the map to visit. She even gave us a bottle of wine to kick off our stay!

We stayed at this apartment for 2.5 days and really enjoyed it. It looks just like the pictures, small but very clean and comfy beds. Location was great for us. Andrea arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and that was fabulous. Although we never met Andrea, he had an associate meet us at the apartment and go over things, she was super nice. We absolutely loved this apartment. It was perfect for us, 2 adults and 1 teen. Location was excellent and so was the view from the balcony. We never met Andrea but his friend and colleague met us to give us the keys and show us everything, she was lovely. This apartment was so bright and so clean and had everything you need for a stay. Would definitely recommend and stay here again when in Rome. Ciao, from Kat, Kelly and Ethan

Really nice spacious apartment with a great view. The neighbours to our left were noisey and kept us up with the tv a couple of nights but nothing a few bangs on the wall couldn't fix!

Good apartment, great location

written by Richard Griffin on TripAdvisor on Tuesday, 03 November 2015

The apartment was as described. It was quiet, light and airy and was indeed just a few steps away from the Coliseum and the rest of Rome. Also easy access to Termini station and there were plenty of shops including a supermarket in the near area. The host, Chiara, was very helpful. I guess the only real criticism was that the cooking facilities are a little limited but then again you do not come on holiday to cook, at least I don't. Recommended.

Wonderful apartment in a wonderful location! Andrea's friend Nathalie checked us in, gave us plenty of helpful information about Rome, and was very welcoming. I would definitely recommend the stay!

Great Apartment with Great Views

written by Lorraine Oro on TripAdvisor on Friday, 02 October 2015

My husband and I stayed here for 10 days and just loved every minute of it. The apartment is spacious clean and bright with amazing views across the Rome skyline. Because it is on the 8th floor the views stretch for kilometres - Colosseum, the dome of St Peter's Basilica and the top of the wedding cake. Loved eating breakfast looking across to this view. It's very well eqipped with most things you'd need and the washing machine seems quite new. Andrea was extremely helpful and very quick to respond to any enquiries we had before and during our stay. The lovely person who met us at the apartment when we arrived, Guilia, was so thorough and helpful with our orientation. If you are a couple or single coming to Rome you truly won't do better than staying here.

Andrea communicated with us promptly and at short notice. Andrea organised Ewa to meet & greet us at apartment. Ewa gave us full run down on apartment and offered plenty of local tips which were greatly appreciated. The apartment is very clean, modern and spacious. Location is minutes from Coloseum with bus & tram conections within 1 minute of apartment. Metro is 10 minutes by foot. This apartment is 5 stars and we recommend this to to anyone looking for homely place in Rome. The apartment is on 6th floor and has lift making it easy for luggage. Apartment is airy with heaps of natural light. There are external blinds to block out morning sun which ensures you sleep soundly. We can't speak highly enough of this apartment. Andrea, thank you for all your help

Great view and location

written by Elizabeth Dang on TripAdvisor on Wednesday, 16 September 2015

What we liked: The view - It was awesome. You can see the Colosseum and more from the bedroom or dining area. Our unit was on the 6th floor. The location - Very close to the Colosseum. We were able to walk to the Trevi fountain and Pantheon, too. The Vatican City was within running distance, but we rented a bike instead (bike rental shop right across the street). If you want to ride a scooter, a Vespa rental shop is also within walking distance. The Tiber River is also easily accessible. I believe we were in the Monti area. The owner - Andrea Z was super helpful and responsive from the beginning. Great coordination with reserving a private driver to and from the airport for us. One of his staff then met us at the apartment, and welcomed us with a bottle of wine which we thought was a very nice touch. What we liked the least: This may not be specific to the place and may be for Italy/Europe in general, but there did not seem to be any insulation between the walls. As such, we could hear the neighbors very clearly; however, earplugs should solve the problem. Also, the toilet seat didn't seem to fit very well but the owner has been notified, so I'm sure he'll adjust it.

written by Iva B on Vrbo on Wednesday, 16 September 2015

We loved the apartment. It was small but very clean and bright. It had a balcony with a nice view which we enjoyed every night. Bed was comfortable and clean. Having a washing machine was perfect. It also has an apartment size fridge and a small kitchen area, which we didn't use as there is so much good food close by. Andrea was a great host, he was very good at communicating with us and arranged a taxi for us from the airport and had a very nice member of his staff to meet us at the apartment upon our arrival. We felt very safe in the apartment building and in the area. It's a short walk to the colosseum and many restaurant and a grocery store. Overall a great experience in Rome. Thank you Iva and Pete (Canada)

appartement bien situé. avec vue superbe. manque de vaisselle, de casseroles.

written by Vijay Jaswani on Airbnb on Tuesday, 25 August 2015

The apartment was very comfortable and located 5 mins from the Colosseum. It has an awesome view of the local neighborhood. There is AC in the living room, and you can leave the bedroom door open to cool the entire place. I didn't meet Andrea but an extremely nice woman named Rosangela who explained all the intricacies of the apartment and was extremely helpful in mapping out must-see places to visit and to eat in Rome. Andrea let me check out late the day I was leaving. There's a pastry shop downstairs, a convenience store closely, and a supermarket about 10 mins away.

written by Nicolas Hazen on Airbnb on Sunday, 16 August 2015

This apartment was fantastic! The description was accurate and it was very well located. Rosangela was an amazing person and waited for us so patiently as we were late due to travel problems. I would recommend this place to any and all who visit Rome. Thank you so much Andrea!

written by Ariela Rubinstein on Airbnb on Thursday, 09 July 2015

It was a great experience since the airport pick up Andrea helped us with. The neighborhood is very quiet and has two small mini markets just down the block. The apartment was as shown on the pictures, with amazing views and really comfortable. Two blocks away we experienced a really good restaurant, and there are many others that open until late at night. Also, the Coliseum is like 4 blocks away, as also the metro and bus station.

The host Andrea was so helpful, organised airport pickup and drop off. Apartment was clean, close to the city centre and perfect! I highly recommend.

written by Warren L on Vrbo on Friday, 05 June 2015

The apartment was a great base for our 3-1/2 week stay in Rome with a convenient location close to the Colosseum. Especially liked its floor 6 location with small terrace that afforded us a view out over the city toward the Colosseum. Very much appreciated that both the air conditioner and wifi internet performed flawlessly. The apartment has been very functionally modernized but is very sparsely furnished with only 2 small chairs at a small dining table and a small foldout sofa, so really only appropriate for a couple. We wanted to enjoy the restaurants of Rome so only had breakfast in the apartment, but anyone planning on more cooking should be aware there is only a 2-burner cooktop and a microwave. The owner was very responsive when we asked for a toaster, which the apartment did not already have, providing one the very next day. Like most Italian showers, it seems, it is pretty tight--less than 2 feet across from front to back, so heftier or less agile renters should be aware of this. The shower is equipped with a very nice shower wand mounted on a rod. It is close to a 10-minute walk to the nearest metro stop, and it's virtually impossible to hail a taxi on the street in Rome, so be aware that the nearest taxi stand (across from the Colosseum) is also about a 10 minute walk away. We don't know if this will be an ongoing situation, but there is a little dog in the adjacent apartment that yaps whenever anyone comes or goes. Fortunately it generally did not yap during the night.

The place was lovely and comfortable. Awesome location, super close to the Colosseum (2 minute walk). The check-in was easy and Andrea took care of everything we needed. He was always quick to reply and provided us with helpful tips whenever we asked. I'd stay there again and absolutely recommend this place.

Best thing I can say is that the handover was very simple and efficient. We were given some excellent information on what to see and how to get there and the apartment was perfect for us. Would recommend this for a visit to Rome.

We loved our stay at this place! It has a great view and the place is very modern and comfortable. The elevator (luxury in such an ancient city) is very quick and quiet. We were very impressed. There is even a washing machine in the apartment, but you'll need to hang dry your clothes if you decide to use it. All in all, the place is very clean and simple. The lady that greeted us was very helpful and gave us many tips on how to get to main areas and a number of restaurants nearby. The internet was very fast, so fast we could stream videos. However, there is no TV, which is okay since you really should be outside exploring the city.

Fantastic apartment with excellent location, kind staff, clean rooms and nice furniture. We've got a bottle of wine as the gift at the first day when we arrived, thanks a lot for every thing you prepared. We have unforgettable experience in this apartment. And it is amazing that we could see the view of Colosseum and Venice Plaza in each room. It' really beautiful during the sunset. Worth to go, worth to live, worth to feel Roma.

written by Cécilia Bernadou on Airbnb on Thursday, 30 April 2015

Great appartment, consistent with the description. We enjoyed the big bedroom, the terrace and the amazing view on the old city. The location is good, as the apartment is only 5mn walking far from the Coliseum. We have been welcomed by a french speaking woman who introduced the apartment and neighbourhood for us, quite useful. The apartment miss a bit of charm however.

I have only good things to say both about the apartment and Andrea, the host. The apartment is located on a quiet street within easy walking distance from the Coliseum, a large number of beautiful churches and buildings. Nice terrace with a view to the city. Ours was a first time visit in detail to Rome - couldn't have found a better place and host.
